Systems Engineering
Systems Engineering is the fundamental discipline and approach RTD uses in delivering many of its products. Developing requirements traceability, determining interfaces and identifying potential issues and risks are typical processes utilized by RTD analysts. RTD analysts use decision-making tools to support these processes for our customers.
Acquisition Program Management
RTD personnel have an extensive background in DoD Acquisition. All members have Defense Acquisition University training and certifications in multiple disciplines. RTD personnel have supported programs of various sizes, from ACAT 1 to ACAT III, and have significant experience in Joint programs.
Concept Development & Requirements Analysis
RTD has experience in developing capabilities documentation and system requirements in support of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process. RTD personnel have developed Design Reference Mission Profiles for multiple weapon systems and assisted in the determination of requirement thresholds by delivering on-target technical assessments and analysis.
Test and Evaluation
As an application of our Systems Engineering approach, our capabilities in Test and Evaluation is one of our strongest assets. Our skills in T&E management enable our customers to conduct effective verification and validation events with minimal impacts to program cost and schedule.
Operations Research
RTD possesses advanced capabilities in Operations Research, Systems Analysis and Design of Experiments. Analysis of mission requirements, map exercises, and simulation events enable our ORSAs to deliver timely studies and analytically supported recommendations. RTD uses analytic tools such as Value Modeling, Utility Theory, and Analytic Hierarchy Process to conduct trade studies and system-level assessments.
